Between tradition and modernity

Brittany

Mystical and rough is the appearance of Brittany’s landscape. With its many cliffs, capes, rias and beautiful shaped stones – and the sound of the ocean everywhere – it is a great place to pause. I have been to many places in Brittany but I was most impressed by the Cote de Granit Rose around Tregastel, and the tremendous coastline of Finistere – the ‘end of the earth’. Everything feels so strong and full of ancient history. But you can also find a modern world, when you leave the nature and small villages and visit Brest. Where you can walk around, have a cafe au lait and meet friendly natives like in the Librairie – Cafe des Voyageurs.  – Getting to know locals is the best way to experience and discover a foreign place in its full variety.
